As you visit each exhibit in this Virtual Museum you will be asked to complete activities. You should be able to complete all of the activities by visiting the World Wide Web sites that are included in each of the exhibits. You may also use encyclopedias, your history text book, or any other sources that your teacher approves.
 
 

THE PROJECT

Your final project will be to write a research paper about the causes of the Civil War. All of the activities included in the exhibits will give you a head start on writing your research paper. Your research paper will be graded using this rubric.
 
 

JOURNAL

In each exhibit that you visit, you are required to do activities. Keep a journal where you can complete the the activities and take notes to use when you write your research paper.
 
 

TIME LINE ACTIVITY

As you visit the Civil War Virtual Museum keep track of important events on a time line. This timeline will give you a good visual representation of the events that led up to the Civil War.
 
 

This Virtual Museum will take you through a forty year period of United States history. While you are visiting each exhibit keep track of the sequence of events on a time line.
